T1 W6 Journal Writing : Passion for Learning 1

Hi Everyone,The school value for this month is 'Passion for Learning'. Passion is something that drives a person to excellence. Some examples of people with passion are Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, Walt Disney, Albert Einstein and Beethoven. They are all great people because they have a great passion for learning. For this journal writing, I would like you to reflect on how you can kindle this passion for learning in you and enjoy learning. To help you with your reflection, I have listed some questions below:

Ans: They help me to learn more new things.

T1, W3 - Reflecting on the Past and Planning for the Future

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to school after a long holiday! I hope you are rejuvenated and are ready to begin a new year of learning. for this blog, I would like you have done in the past year as well your future plans. Here is some questions to help you get your journal writing going.

1. What were some of the things you did well last yearand planned to continued doing this year?
Ans: I plan to do well for my examination, I should improve my work and do my work neatly and seriously.

Ans: I did not did well for examination, my maths sorce is not very good.

Ans: I will read more book and do more assessments for all the subject.

Track And Field Day

1. I attend our School Sport Day, I find it very interesting.
2. I think the most interesting part is when they give out the prizes, because I get frist.
3. I think the uninteresting part is the cheering time, because our group had some pupils who did not follow.

5. It is very important and useful because excersise make our body healthy.
6. Yes I engage on the sport day, I take part in the 200m race and 4x100m race.

History of Singapore Currency

I am not so sure about the current portrait of President Yusof Ishak currency we now see is the fourth series in our nation's history. My parents have the Orchid notes and they also kept them till now. The Bird series is the second in the series while the Ship series is the third. My parents like all the series. The Orchird series is from 1967 ~ 1976. The bird series 1976 ~ 1984 . The ship series is from 1984 ~ 1999.

a)High quality paper.A counterfeit note is usually printed on lower quality paper and has a smooth and waxy feel.
b)Watermark.The watermark on a counterfeit note is clearly visible without requiring the note to be held against the light.It lacks the three-dimensional effect.
c)The micro-lettering.The mic-lettering is not present in a counterfeit note.

Dangerous Wrigglers Dengue Fever

1. Do the 5 steps in 10-minute mozzie wipe-out everyday.
2. For areas where stagnant water cannot be removed, treat the area with sand granular/bti insecticide.
3. Keep all belongings under shelter where rainwater would not collet.
4. See doctor immediately, if you have dengue symptoms.
5. Person confirmed or suspectrd of having dengue should use mosquito repellent on the body and mosquito coils in the home.
6. If you are going away for holiday, ensure that you carry out measures to prevent mosquitos breeding in your home.
7. If your home is to be leave vacant for more than 1 week, leave behind a contact number with your neighbours or neighbourhood police post / centre so that the authorities can contact you if necessary.
8. If there is dengue cases in your neighbourhoods, spray dark corners in your home with aerosol insecticide to kill any adult mosquito that maybe resting in those corners. Best time to spray is early morning.

Reading is Good and Fun

1. It is because the teacher need us to improve in our english.
2. I like it because I like to read.
3. I like reading so that I can learn more words.
4. I like to read Prince Jake.
5. Reading will help me in my school work because there is knowledge that might help me in my study.
6. The school can organised more silent reading programme.
7. My favourite book is Rumpelstiltskin, the author is Robert Frederick.I like to read because the story is very interesting.

Using A Personal Computer

Advantages

• We can do our work.
• We can do our work instead of writing down.
• We can spend lesser time doing work on computer.
• We can save more paper by typing journals on blogging.
• We can gain more knowledge by knowing how to blog pictures, videos and other many other things.

Disadvantages

• The computers can make our eyes spoil.
• They can spent most of their time doing work on computers and did not do well for their studies.
• Parents must spent money buying for their children spetecales if they spoilt their eyes as they do work on computers most of the time.

Outside School Activities

Hi everyone! Teachers and classmates. Today, I want to introduce to you what are my activities invovled in outside school. I usually go to tution and hardly do any other activities. I have stack of homework waiting for me to finish! I spent almost 1 whole week - 5 days on this activities! I spent 2 hours on each of this activity and it was quite a long time. I think that these activities is necessary for me because I think studying is the most important thing. I don't think these activities will affect my studies. Of course, studying is a little bit stressed for me because it is very difficult for me to complete my homework on time as I was quite slow. I think that pupils should be invovled in outside school activities because doing it can gain much more knowledge and they can also do well for their sports or on their school works.

Passion for learning

Hi everyone! Today, I am going to introduce you about passion for learning. I understand passion for learning and that is eager to learn something. It is nessessary for people to have passion for learning so that learning more things can gain more knowledge. I think that my brother have the passion for learning. It is because, he is always eager to learn roller blading even if he fell down, he wants to learn maths chllanging sum even if he do the wrong answer for lots of times and he always want to learn music from me even if he sang wrongly.I have the passion for learning because I know that my results aren't very good and I must practice a lot. So, I can said confidently that I had the passion for learning now. I can learn from brother about passion for learning as I knew he is the right and good role model.

Setting Target

Hi everyone! Teachers and friends! Today I am going to introduce you my target. We set a target in various subject is to let us know where is our goal and we must try to acheive it too. I think that target setting for us is useful because, setting a target is just like aiming where to shoot towards in future. I go very smooth setting my targets but somtimes, I must discuss with my parents. I am going to work hard and revise my tuition work and my school work oftently in order to reach my goals. My parents will encourage me not to give up whenever I was felling sad and they somtimes help me in my revision. I will motivate myself by listening to lessons attentively whenever my teachers is teaching me. Our school teachers can just teach me more often and help me in my studies.

What do I celebrate?

Hi everyone! Teachers and friends! Today , I am going to tell you what am I celebrating. I am celebrating Chinese New Year. My family celebrated it because , celebrating Chinese New Year is just like welcoming a brand new year. I celebrate Chinese New Year by inviting relative to our house to eat reunion dinner wih us. It is extremely fun. The Christians celeberate Christmas, the Muslims celebrate Hari Raya Puasa and the Hindus celebrate Deevapali. Although I don't know why they celebrated it for, but I tried to name three of them. I don't really think that the various festival help in strengthening racial harmony among the various race in Singapore. We can communicate with more friends from other races. Therefore, we can also develop stronger bonds among the various races in Singapore.
